About Position

Responsiblities

- Design, develop, automate and operationalize software updates with zero downtime.
- Build, automate application configuration, auto-deployment, and provisioning of services and infrastructure.
- Measure and monitor application and Infrastructure Health.
- Work with engineering and product to architect and build highly available, high performance, and secure features.
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Architect our server-side deployment automation systems and package distribution for node operators Research and develop our approach to security solutions within the server side-software component of the protocol.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain nodes on our validator network, web application, and supporting infrastructures such as monitoring, CI, and analytics tools.
- Build and maintain company-wide CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyzesse and develop strategies to improve the server-side security of our validator node software and the validator network in general.
- Develop mitigating strategies and monitoring tools to combat against network attacks.
- Design and develop security mechanisms for key management and signing.
- Much of our backend technology stack relies heavily on software which includes p2p networking, consensus mechanisms, blockchain technology, and cryptography.
- Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and secure on cloud platforms and on-premise.
- Deploy and maintain the blockchain infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment.
- Architect infrastructure and deploy production systems.
- Produce and update documentation of standards and procedures.
- Prepare disaster recovery and incident response plan for production deployments.
- Take ownership of end-to-end automation.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience with public cloud services in a highly available and scalable production environment.
- Strong knowledge of containers concepts and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- Understanding networking and network virtualization.
- Experience in improving the performance of web applications and solving scaling/performance issues.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Github-Actions, etc.
- Hand-on experience with IaC tools such as terraform.
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles.
- Strong knowledge of AWS (IAM, EC2, VPC, Security Group, Cloudwatch).
- Capable of constructing and orchestrating Docker-based infrastructure.
- Very comfortable with Linux systems.
- Willingness to learn and master new tooling.
- Experience with backing up, provisioning & disaster recovery production databases.
- Knowledge in Git.
